The orientation of the stock is dependent from job's orientation and viceversa (see PHASE 1: Workpiece-Stock orientation) and the same functions can be used to orient it.

However, once the stock is present, it is possible to use "Align Stock" command to orient it along one selected face's normal, which is placed vertically, center it on the table and create the clamping CSYS in the center of that face. The command is accessible pressing "Orient Piece" on the contextual toolbar.



After pressing "Align Stock", Guideline 4.0 waits for the user to select one face on the stock: overing on the stock's faces preselection color applies



Once the face is selected, the stock is then oriented and the CSYS created and saved.


Pressing OK will confirm the orientation

As explained, job's and stock's positions are related, so job's orientation will be consequential.
